BellaOnline Moderators and Freelancers

Every BellaOnline forum area is tied directly to a BellaOnline site area. For example, the Low Carb forum area is associated with http://lowcarb.bellaonline.com, our site area with articles, quizzes, and recipes for Low Carb dieters. Both the Low Carb site and the Low Carb forum are edited and moderated by a single person. That person, in this case Lisa Shea, is both the editor of the Low Carb site - writing the articles and maintaining the site - as well as the moderator for the Low Carb forum - handling issues and removing spam.

This relationship is true for every forum in the BellaOnline network. The forum exists as an extension of the site, and is a way for fans of that topic area to congregate and discuss the articles and issues brought up in the site area. A single editor / moderator watches over both areas.

In addition, BellaOnline has a select group of BellaOnline Freelancers. These writers are indicated by the "freelancer" status beneath their name. They have been chosen for their quality writing to be featured in the BellaOnline forums. Often a freelancer has a special interest in a specific topic and will post all of her content on that one topic area, but sometimes a freelancer has multiple interests and can be found in several topic areas.

Finally, to keep the BellaOnline forums safe for visitors of all ages, we have BellaOnline roving moderators separate from our editors. While each editor is the moderator of her own site, and handles issues found in that site area, the roving moderators move across the entire forum network. This helps to maintain coverage on topic areas which are currently in between editors, as well as cover for editors who are on vacation. BellaOnline roving moderators are indicated by the "roving moderator" status beneath their name.
