Introduction to the Game

This is based on the classic game, where you try to guess a word before time runs out for your 'man'. There are many fishing-related words to try to guess at, each different. Once the game is loaded and started, you are playing against the computer. Blank spaces are shown at the bottom of the Hangman graphic, one for each letter of the word.

The entire alphabet is also listed under the hangman graphic. Each letter has a button next to it for you to make a guess. Once you correctly or incorrectly make a letter guess, the button dissappears so you cannnot enter the same letter twice. This also helps keep track of the letter you've guessed at so you can make an educated guess for the next letter.

Specific Directions and How It Ends

The game begins as you try to guess a letter. Click a letter then press the 'Make My Guess' button to see if that letter is in the word. You have ten chances to guess the word correctly, otherwise another body part will appear (head, torso, two legs, two arms, two hands, two feet, making a total of 10 body parts). After 10 incorrect letter guess, you lose and you try again at another word. If you correctly guess all the letters in the word, you win!

The winning guesses will show the word at the end be spelled out over the hangman and the 'man' is spared the hangman's noose. If the guesses are incorrect, you will get the message 'Sorry, You Are Out Of Guesses!' and the word will be displayed at the bottom.
