Renee’s current fishing goal is teaching her young shoal of guppies the importance of catch-and-release, and the ´pack it in pack it out´ mentality of never leaving garbage for others to pick up when out on trips. Therefore, fishing is both a fun sporting adventure and a way of life for the family. And when a freshwater fisherwoman meets a saltwater fisherman, there is always new tackle or rigging to know about.
On this site you can read what she may be currently learning, testing, catching, reading or preparing. If you are an author of a self-published cookbook relating to preparing fish or seafood and in need of a review, let her know. She´s always happy to read and test new recipes using fish and seafoods. Helpful self-published fishing guides are also great to share with readers as well.
Her favorite fishing trip:
Trout fishing in the Sierras with her husband where she caught not only the first but also the biggest catch of the trip.
Her most memorable fishing trip:
Catching a barracuda for the first time.
Her best time on the water with no hook-ups:
When she was able to steer the boat along side a pack of jumping, friendly dolphins for the first time.
