Other basics that are talked about in Fishing Texas: An Angler's Guide Bookicon are releasing fish and several important knots that are great for fishermen to know with illustrations, including the World's Fair Knot, King Sling, Uni-Knot System (for tying terminal tackle), and Snelling a Hook.

For proper filling of reels, this handy book shows how to properly fill a revolving spool reel, spinning reel and a spin-cast closed reel. Also, sprinkled throughout are many tips and hints for a more successful fishing trip anytime of the year.
