How to sign up for FREE Heel-to-Toe Newsletter


Hello everybody,
I have been a regular walker for many years both at home and abroad and now that I am retired from professional work I have more time to spend on a pastime I love. I want to share this love and enthusiasm with you.

This free Heel-to-Toe Walking newsletter will be mailed out every Wednesday. Signing up for the newsletter is free.

In the Newsletter we will discuss many issues associated with walking.

What can I do to motivate myself to walk? Buy a pedometer.
By recording the number of steps you take each day you will be motivated to do more and as a result keep up a more active lifestyle.

Can I walk if I have arthritis? Yes, exercise is vital for joint mobility but do not over do it

Will walking increase my fitness?
Walking strengthens muscles and bones and if you walk at a moderate to brisk pace is an aerobic activity. This means the heart and lungs are required to work harder to supply the body’s increased demand for oxygen. Taking part in aerobic exercise enables us to carr
y out our normal daily activities more efficiently and with less effort.

Will I lose weight walking?
The answer is yes if you walk at a brisk pace for at least thirty minutes daily and watch your diet. Find out how to lose weight through walking.
