Snickerdoodles Cookies
Ingredients
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 1/2 cups white sugar
Directions
In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt baking soda, cream of tartar, and sugar. Stir with a whisk, then place into a canning jar.
Print out the following instructions on a gift card and tape the card to the jar:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream 1 cup of butter and 2 eggs.
Add the snickerdoodle mix and stir until a dough forms.
In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.
Roll the dough into 1 inch balls, roll the balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place 2 inches apart on an unprepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
Cookies should be light brown.
Cool on wire racks after removing from the oven.
