Fertility and Our Lives

"We want a baby so badly, we have been trying for so many years." The emotional stress due the disappointments month after month are tremendous. Just being around a pregnant woman or someone holding a baby can be so depressing.

Fertility problems can effect so many women and their partners, this problem can come from many sources. Seeking medical assistance from a Specialist may need to be considered. Our lifestyle with diet, exercise, and stress may play a part. Hereditary problems can be an underlying cause. There may be a medical problem with our partner.

With this being said, knowledge will give you the power you need to make an informed decision to the direction you need to pursue. You need to make an objective view of your life and the problems that you experience with fertility.

A well-planned weight-reduction diet and exercise program for a women over weight can help with irregular periods with heavy flow. Obesity can effect your fertility and general health. Infections and disease may lead to impaired infertility. Many can be treated through medication and/or surgery. Adhesions from pelvic infections or abdominal surgery may be a cause of infertility. Our liver and kidney filter and remove waste products and toxic substances, if they become diseased this may cause infertility. Thyroid disorders can interfere with fertility. Diabetes may interfere with normal periods and may be a problem. An abnormal Pap Smear may be an indication of problems. Endometriosis is a leading cause of infertility.

Medications such as antibiotics, hormones, or antihypertensive, pain killers, antidepressants, and alcohol can prevent pregnancy. Medication to ease menstrual cramps can create problems as well.

It is extremely important to understand your body, the symptoms and/or problems you are experiencing and to educate yourself to your options. There is help available through research to gain knowledge, medical professionals for assistance, support groups are available for us and can be positive.

Miracle babies are such a great gift. Adoption is an option and is a an awesome experience, the greatest gift of love, to receive from another woman.
