Miracles
Miracles are those things that happen in your life and the lives of others that cannot be explained within our natural minds and in our natural environment. As you read the Bible you will see many stories of miraculous events and God’s promises to those who are obedient to his word.
God is our Jehovah Jireh, This translates to the fact that God will provide as displayed in the following scriptures found in the Old Testament of the Bible.
Genesis 22: 8 - 13
And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.
Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
But the Angel of the LORD called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”So he said, “Here I am.”
And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.”
Exodus 15:22 - 26
Moses led Israel onward from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
When they came to Marah, they couldn't drink from the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore its name was called Marah.
The people murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?"
Then he cried to The LORD. The LORD showed him a tree, and he threw it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There he made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there he tested them;
and he said, "If you will diligently listen to the LORD your God's voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am the LORD who heals you."
Exodus 16:12
I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.
The foundation and fundamentals of a Christian is having faith and trusting that God is a provider for the believers, hearers and doers of his word. Stand on God’s word knowing that miracles happen every day. When you are going through tough times think about the other times God has brought you through and you will be encouraged that he can do it again.
