Craft Shows in the Great Lakes region
The Great Lakes region is full of talented crafters. Some do quilting while others paint or crochet. The list goes on and on. There are many craft shows throughout the area that give artisans and crafters the opportunity to sell their work and allows buyers to own a piece of their creativity. I found several interesting upcoming craft shows that are worth mentioning.
This summer the Cranberry Fest will once again be held in Warrens, Wisconsin. You will no doubt find something for yourself at this show. There are over 1,300 booths available to shoppers. These booths will have arts and crafts, flea markets and antiques items and plenty of farmer’s market items. You are unlikely to walk away empty handed at this sale with the variety of items they have to offer. The Cranberry Fest is held near the end of September. Remember to wear your walking shoes!
When you are in Ludington, Michigan, stop by and check out the artistic work of crafters at the West Shore Art League Fine Arts and Craft Fair. This event will be held the first part of July. Over 200 artists will have their jewelry, paintings, photography, woodworking, and pottery on display. There are too many types of artists to mention, so check it out.
Over 150 artists will have their beautiful pieces of work on display at the American Craft Exposition in Evanston, Illinois at the end of August. Artists and crafters from around the United States will have ceramics, furniture, leather, glass pieces, and wood crafts on display. The exposition will donate their proceeds to ovarian cancer research.
The summer months are a great time to see artist’s creations. It’s a great time of the year for painters and photographers to capture nature’s beauty and then share them with others. In addition to finding artist's work at craft shows, you can also find their pieces of work at local craft shops in any given town around the Great Lakes region.
You will find many creative items to choose from when decorating your home or buying a gift for a friend. Enjoy the work of artists and crafters from the Greak Lakes area. They have plenty to offer.
