Green beans are a great source of vitamins and nutrients and do not have to be bland. One cup of cooked green beans has only 30 calories, no fat, sodium or cholesterol, 2 grams of protein, and 63 grams of calcium. Green beans are also a great source of fiber, Vitamins A and C, and iron. The almonds in this recipe add a dose of healthy fat.
