My Lovebird, Bubbles was looking pretty cute this morning, so I took this picture to make a jigsaw puzzle.

Lovebirds make wonderful companions. They do not have to be kept in pairs as one bird will want to be with you and spend time cuddled against your neck or in your shirt pocket. If you do not have the time required to spend with your bird to keep him happy, then he would be better off with a companion of his own kind.
