Waterford Crystal, Kept for Best
"Kept for best" indeed, but Waterford crystal is used, often and well. There's a lot of fine Irish story-telling associated with the magic of Waterford's light, mostly about family memories: the day we were married, the day the baby came home from the hospital, Christmas, Easter, graduations, ordinations...and vows of all kind.
Here are some of my favorite pieces.
Lismore Ice Cream Bowls
Much admired for the grace of form that defines tradition even as it transcends it, the Lismore pattern was inspired by Ireland's own Lismore Castle over 50 years ago. To this day, the Lismore pattern lives and has sparked the creativity of fresh interpretations of shape and style in this fascinating diamond and Waterford wedge cut.
Waterford Moondance Bowls
These bowls boast the Waterford wedge and diamond cuts that speak of classic Waterford designs.
Colleen Juice Glasses
One of Waterford's most popular suites is Colleen, which is the Irish word for "young girl". It's a brilliant combination of fiery diamond and distinctive oval cuts.
Use them often and in good health with warmest wishes.
