Here is your chance to enter a writing contest, called Protecting the Earth for Future Generations. This writing contest will benefit the Red Cross Disaster Emergency Services!
The contest is intended to inspire all who read the entries to preserve our natural resources so that we, our children and our grandchildren may enjoy them.
It's time for every person to take responsibility to preserve the flora and fauna found on our planet to ensure that our children and grandchildren are able to enjoy nature.The first prize is $100.00 donated to the Red Cross in the winner's name. What to I do?
Write a short essay. Simply tell the judges how and why, in 800 words or less, you would protect the Earth. There is no entry fee, but you better hurry to get your submission in before the March 31, 2005 deadline.
The topic "Protecting the Earth for Future Generations," was inspired by the recent Tsuamani disaster overseas.
It was originally suggested the proceeds be donated to the Red Cross and earmarked, "Tsuamani disaster," but after much thought and discussion, it was decided to donate the money to the Red Cross with no specific instructions. KIDS' SECTION -
Yes kids, you can enter too. Your category is for kids 6 to 12. The subject is the same as the adults. Just send in your essay telling us how you would protect Earth for your children and grandchildren. Your stories should be between 200 and 600 words. The picture to the right is one of the prizes for the kid's entries.
