What better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Weekend than experiencing the very best in Irish Traditional music? All-Ireland Uilleann Pipes Champion David Power brings his dazzling gift of performance to Brookdale in an exclusive New Jersey engagement.
Beginning his study of the ancient instrument at age ten, David has won the Senior All-Ireland Piping Championship and the coveted Oireachtas competition, and he has toured through Japan, Asia, Sardinia and Brittany, as well as the U.S. David will be joined on stage by two special guests: David’s lifelong friend and legendary producer and performer, Donal Clancy, who has recorded and performed with the Clancy Brothers, Danu, Solas, and Eileen Ivers, just to name a few; and another All-Ireland Champion and recording artist, Deirdre Connolly, on vocals, tin whistle, and bodhran. This concert should prove to be the perfect centerpiece to a great month of celebrating the Irish Heritage and Culture.
