Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill - Book Review
A Love Story....With Wings
by Mark Bittner
Mark Bittner has written this story about his life and how his life changed when he began to show an interest in some wild conures in San Francisco.
Anyone who knows and loves their parrot can understand how fascinating these birds can be, but Mark did not know birds until then. He spent years just trying to decide what he was going to do with his life with no success.
Mark was fascinated with these birds and learned as much as he could about them. As he got to know the birds, he began to give each one a name and each day his relationship with them developed over time.
It was actually a great surprise when one day Mark realized that he actually loved these wild conures. You can feel his excitement each year when the new babies fledge and his sadness when one of the conures dies or disappears, never to be seen again.
I would recommend this book to any bird lover.
you can find it at Amazon.com (above) or Amazon.ca (below)

The book has also been made into a movie.
