Tales of angelic encounters have grown in popularity over the last 20 years. In fact, many authors have attained celebrity status because of their ability to give angelic advice, or messages from the angels, to everyday people. Everyone has heard of the angels, but your average person believes that he or she will never have a true angelic experience of their own. In fact, most people believe that the angels don’t have time for the trivial concerns of mortals, and to ask for help from a being of such divinity is simply selfish and self serving. However, this belief couldn’t be farther from the truth.

“For he shall give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Psalms 91:11-12

True angelic encounters may sometimes come in the guise of an overheard conversation that ends up inspiring you, or a friend calling you just when you need someone. The angels may intervene by causing a particular thought to pop into your head that leads you to make a decision that brings more happiness and balance into your life.

The angels are here to watch over you. They don’t care about your career or education. They don’t care about how much money you make or how successful your relationships are. They are here to look after you. But since you were given free will, the angels cannot interfere in your life unless you ask them to.

Luckily, asking the angels for help is pretty easy. All it takes is a sincere desire to connect and communicate with them.

Start off by sharing your concerns or worries with them. The angels are here to help, no matter how big or small the problem may seem to you. To the angels any problem is simply a situation to be resolved, and helping one person find a job is no more difficult than helping another person find a set of lost keys.

Next you need to take time to listen. You don’t need to have a bunch of training or certificates to hear guidance from your angels, you just need to be open minded. You will receive and understand their guidance through your own feelings, signs or synchronicities.

If you don’t receive guidance right away, be patient and have faith. Sometimes the angels need a little time to arrange things for you. After all, the wee acorn didn’t sprout a mighty oak tree in a day.
