A Review of Writing the Divine by Sara Wiseman

A Review of Writing the Divine by Sara Wiseman
Have you ever wanted to channel your own guides and hear directly the wisdom they have for you? Sara Wiseman shares her methods for producing channeled writing and claims anyone can learn to do the same.

Writing the Divine is a book of two halves, quite literally. The first half deals with the process. Sara tells how she was inducted into channeling by her own guides and shares methods that will induce channeling for most people who are open to the idea and prepared to work at it. In the second half we are presented with a series of Thirty Three short but profound spiritual lessons channeled directly from Sara’s spirit guides for our learning and empowerment.

I was sent Sara's book by her publicist and I enjoyed both halves of the book for different reasons. Sara’s written style is engaging, warm and chatty. She isn’t claiming that she is a great mystic or guru, just a single mother who opened to Spirit quite unexpectedly. As with many of us it took a ‘rock bottom’ experience to break Sara open to an awareness of a greater reality.

Her honest description of what it feels like to be used as a channel convinced me that Sara is absolutely genuine. Sara describes the feeling of channeling accurately; do be warned it can be tiring. She also describes the possible headaches that can follow, the physical shakes and the passing of hours in what feels like minutes. So why would anyone want to do it? If you learn to channel your guides you will find the wisest friends and most loving support you could ever ask for.

Although originally Sara was opened to a personal guide who helped her navigate through a time of change in her own life it became clear that she was a natural at channeled writing, this was part of her life purpose and so a new set of spirit guides came in to dictate a book to be of service to humanity at this time. This is the second half of Writing the Divine, the Thirty Three Lessons. Don’t be put off by the number, or by a dread of being back at school. State schools tend not to deliver lessons like these, not yet anyway!

If you follow the thirty three channeled spiritual lessons and do your written ‘homework’ questions at the end of each I would expect you to come to some serious realisations about yourself, your purpose on the Earth and you may even make life changes as a result. There is the depth required to shift those that are ready for change and to stimulate awareness of a much greater reality than the one we so often think we are stuck in.

Will everyone who tries channeled writing take to it? I don't know. I feel that if you are the sort of person that enjoys writing in some form, whether that's in a journal, stories, or poems, then channeled writing is a route to the Divine that will feel quite natural to you.
