Parrotlets are one of the smallest parrots there are. They now come in a variety of colours and can make great little pets. A budgie size cage is sufficient for these birds, but a larger cage would of course be a better option. You would have to make sure that the bar spacing is appropriate for birds of this size, as you do not want them going between the bars to get out and explore when you are not home to supervise them. Any bird can get into trouble when they have unsupervised run of the house, as many of you may already know.
