Peace I give to you
Do you have on the whole armor of God? The pieces of the Christian warrior’s armor of protection is listed in Ephesians 6:13-18. The third piece listed in Ephesians 3:15 deals with the Christian warrior’s feet. “Having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”
The Christian that has his feet firmly planted in the Gospel of peace will have confidence and assurance when he confronts the enemy. The Gospel is the way of peace with God because it is from God. When you receive Christ you are united with the Prince of Peace. “For He is our peace”(Ephesians 2:-14)
This peace does not depend on our circumstances but on our relationship with Jesus Christ. When you permit the Word of God to continually and consistently control your life, you will have peace in your spirit (Colossians 3:15)"and let the peace of God rule in your hearts".
When we walk obediently in God's will, we walk in His peace. The Christian soldier must be trained and prepared in the ministry of sharing the good news of peace with God to others. It is called “the Gospel of peace” because it can destroy the bitterness that lives in man and replace it with the tranquility of God.
Isaiah chapter 52:7 states "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bring good tidings, that publishes peace, that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion, Thy God Reigneth". Each day we must be ready to share the Gospel of peace. As ambassadors of Christ, we share the good news with those who do not personally know Jesus so that they can establish a relationship with Him and walk in His path of peace.
The peacemakers can claim the promise that “the God of Peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly” (Romans 16:20). Are your feet shod with the gospel of peace? Are you sharing the good news with those around you?
Read Ephesians 6:13-18 to discover the other elements of God's protective armor and check to see if your whole armor is intact.
God Bless!
