Judy Hall’s Good Vibrations
Good Vibrations is a self help manual that contains all the advice most people will ever need on psychic protection, energy enhancement and space clearing. Judy Hall is one of the UK’s most respected metaphysical teachers and author of the bestselling Crystal Bible.
I always enjoy Judy’s down to earth style of writing and have often recommended her earlier book on The Art of Psychic Protection. Good Vibrations covers much more ground than this old favourite and it is very user friendly.
The emphasis of Good Vibrations is on keeping your own energies and that of your living space positive, clear and healthy. A well maintained personal energy field and harmonious living space is much less likely to be affected by intrusive or disruptive energies. We could all do with assistance from time to time!
This book will help you identify the areas that need most attention if you initially read it right through. Once you’ve worked on these key issues I would suggest you keep the book handy and dip in and out of it as a ready reference guide as and when you need it, however do take note of the daily routine given at the end of the book and use this or something similar of your own devising on a daily basis to keep your energies safe and clear.
Good Vibrations includes topics that many books on psychic protection alone would not cover. For instance there is a chapter on healing the family and another on enriching relationships. I feel Judy has done us all a service by including these, as when things are out of kilter with our ‘nearest and dearest’ our energy can become depleted and vulnerable. This is a holistic approach to building good vibes around you and to do this you have to look at healing the areas where your energies may have been compromised.
As you would expect Judy has given many recommendations for helpful crystals in the book. Build your crystal collection slowly and purposefully, getting to know each new addition. It helps to have a pictorial guidebook to hand so that you can see photographs of the listed crystals. Either The Crystal Bible or Sue and Simon’s The Essential Crystal Handbook: All the Crystals You Will Ever Need for Health, Healing & Happinesswill be good companion volumes.
It is good to see that Judy has included ideas throughout for non-visual folk to try. A lot of New Age writers forget that some people struggle with clear visualisation and need more physical or tangible exercises.
Judy also draws on many years experience of using essences to recommended the best ones for each job. She made David Eastoe’s Crystal Clear justly famous when she mentioned it in the Crystal Bible. Judy’s choices are from makers I respect and use myself including David’s Petaltone range, Sue and Simon Lilly‘s Green Man Essences and Ian White‘s Australian Bush Flower Essences. I would suggest that having read the book you choose one or two of the essence providers you feel drawn to and equip yourself with a good range of their essences. That way you have a ‘helpful friend’ to hand whenever you need one.
