Angel Message Forgiveness and Light
When you practice the act of forgiveness, you step into your own light, and in that light realize that really, there was nothing to forgive.
The idea that there is nothing to forgive can be a very difficult concept to understand. After all, if someone hurt you or someone you love, or took something that was most precious to you, you may feel you can eventually forgive them, but to actually believe that there was nothing to forgive in the first place? How can that be?
You are an infinite being in a body; light in motion, having the experience right now of humanity. Your soul’s purpose is to re-discover itself, every moment, through the practice of discovering itself while being in a human body.
You, along with every other person on this planet, are Divine Light, here for that same experience. In a sense, you are actors playing a part on the world stage (yes, Shakespeare did have it right). Would you feel the need to forgive an actor who played a villain?
When you are hurt by another, this is because they have made a choice that goes against their divine nature. This choice takes them further from their divinity, making it harder for them to remember that they are light. They have essentially forgotten they are an actor, and instead believe they are the role they play. They believe they are separate and alone, and are unable to access the divine light and wisdom and that seeks to work through them.
Honor Your Pain
No matter how enlightened you may be, you still need to honor the pain, and any loss, you may have experienced. Forgiveness is not about denying what you went through. You need to honor your feelings.
Then Forgiveness
Forgiveness is the gift you experience first yourself. It releases you from judgment of the situation, and allows you to see the divinity that is always an everywhere present force. Through forgiveness, you experience your own divinity in the form of love and compassion. You then see the light, even in those who hurt you.
When you see the light in the person who hurt you, you recognize their perceived separation from Source, and realize that they are hurting too, because only someone who is hurting can hurt another.
Your soul’s greatest joys are the moments when you discover yourself, on a soul level, in spite of the painful experiences and limitations of a human body. Through the act of forgiveness, you first see light in yourself, and then the light in another. And when you see the light in them, you give them what may be their only opportunity to be seen as the light they truly are, even when they’ve forgotten.
