The Original Angel Cards Review
Back in 1999 I purchased my very first set of angel cards; “The Original Angel Cards” by Kathy Tyler and Joy Drake. Since then I’ve purchased dozens of angel card decks, but few have inspired as this one has.
This deck is simple and lovely, and one of my favorite things about it is its size! It’s no larger than a cardboard jewelry box (you know, the kind you get from a department store when you purchase a necklace). In fact, I kept my first set of these cards in such a box!
I recently received the 25th anniversary edition of this deck, and was delighted to find that it comes in its own pocket-sized box, and you can slide the cards right out the end. There are also more cards than in the first edition!
There are 74 cards total, (two are blank cards for when the angels want to be extra mysterious).
It also comes with a little guidebook (156 pages) with a short and sweet description for each card.
“Truth – Truth is an unfolding process that deepens as your wisdom increases. Live in a way that fosters your enduring and direct encounter with life.” ~ From the book – page 86.
The book also includes information on choosing cards, meditating with the messages, using a journal with the cards, and card layouts. The book is also small enough I can slide it into the back pocket of my jeans.
What I love most about this deck is its simplicity. There are no lengthy descriptions; just a simple word that you can let work through you as it will. And even though there are angel decks out there with more intricate and beautiful fantasy art, the simple art of these cards makes it easy to connect. Nothing overwhelms the message.
This is the deck I carry with me, use on a daily basis for inspiration, and use to share messages with clients or friends.
I would recommend these cards to anyone interested in deepening their connection with the angels. They are convenient, and can travel with you anywhere; they are simple and easily shared; and they are inspiring and easily understood.
Deanna received this deck as an anniversary gift, and decided to review them because she loves them!
