“Love and the promise of a beautiful French life,” says native Texan Melissa Demiguel when asked what brought her to France. Each week she will chronicle her adventures as she lends insight to the reality of living abroad.

Educated at the University of Texas in Austin, Melissa is an experienced teacher with a taste for non-fiction writing. Other interests include music, art, cooking, fashion and yoga.
