I have worked at the Rome Historical Society in my hometown of Rome, NY; Wells Fargo Historical Services in San Francisco; and the Senator John Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center in Pittsburgh, PA. I was an interpreter at the Erie Canal Village in Rome, NY. I served as Curator of Collections at the Historical Society of Rockland County in New City, NY before taking the position of Curator at the Wm. McKinley Presidential Library & Museum in October 2001.
I am the author of three books, Canton: A Journey Through Time, Cantonīs West Lawn Cemetery and Cantonīs Pioneers in Flight. I have also published an exhibition review in The Public Historian, the journal of the National Council for Public History. My work has appeared in The Boston Globe, BellaOnlineīs literary magazine Mused, and the Amazon Shorts program. The Association for Gravestone Studies recently awarded me the Oakley Certificate of Merit for my interpretive projects at West Lawn Cemetery.
