About the BellaOnline Islam Editor

Peace

I have been a follower of Islam and a student of the Quran for over thirty years and I would like to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for Islam with you.

My understanding of Islam may not be the same as every other Muslim on this planet. What I write in my articles is based on how God has shown me Islam through the Quran. We are all unique individuals and nothing about us is the same not even our faith. This is how I understand Islam.

Here on the Islam Site I hope I can clarify a few misunderstandings about Islam. I would like to bring with me enlightenment to those with little or no knowledge of Islam. I hope to encourage tolerance for a faith that comes with a message of hope and peace.

If for any reason we disagree on any subject, I hope we can discuss it rationally and politely without the need for name calling and abuse. We learn from each other, there is no need for intolerance of each otherīs belief.

The only reference book I shall use is the Quran and the only teacher I shall refer to is God. I am English and everything I know about Islam is in English. So, I shall try to keep my words simple for the visitors to my site whose first language is not English. I will include at least one chapter and verse from the Quran, for your verification, in each article.

As I am not a translator of the Quran I have to use the translations of others. All of the verses from the Quran, that I use in my articles, are taken from www.universalunity.net. This site has an Arabic transliteration and four different English translations of the Quran by Yusufali, Pickthal, Shakir and Rashad Khalifa.

There are links to the above site and other Quran translation sites under most of the subjects so you can check the verses for yourself.

You can join in with conversations on the Forum site and meet new people who share the same interests. There are links to the Forums on all article pages.
