Watch these science fiction and fantasy movies with all members of your family, from the oldest to the youngest.
Arthur Christmas (2011)  This delightful movie embraces the spirit of Christmas movies past and will be a treat for all the family on Christmas Eve. Cars II (2011)  So adults fans were disappointed with this sequel to Pixar's Cars movie - my grandson loved it, and that's what counts. CJ7 Review of the Movie by Stephen Chow  CJ7 is a Stephen Chow movie about a strange little visitor to earth who befriends a poor school boy and his struggling father. Disney's A Christmas Carol (2009)  Jim Carrey and Gary Oldman are an inspired pairing in this Disney version of Charles Dickens' classic Christmas tale. Gnomeo and Juliet (2011)  Cute British accents and a lovable flamingo make this an enjoyable family movie. Great Christmas Movies  Christmas is the time to kick back and enjoy your favorite Christmas themed sci fi and fantasy movies. Here is my top ten list. Inkheart  As a book, Inkheart was disappointing; as a movie is is better, but mostly thanks to Paul Bettany. Last Airbender - The Other Avatar  The other Avatar is the one James Cameron didn't make - Avatar: The Last Airbender. Mars Needs Moms (2011)  Mars needs Moms like we need a movie that teaches our children that working mothers are heartless, unloving harpies. Nanny McFee  Much more than Mary Poppins with warts, Nanny McFee is great fun for all ages.
Nim’s Island (2008)  A charming movie for the family with Jodie Foster in fine form, and a sparkling performance from young Abigail Breslin. Run Pee.com [offsite link] A site dedicated to previewing films and figuring out when the best time to go take a potty break is! Fantastic for families who have little one who always need to go. These guys let you know when you are least likely to miss something reall important! The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3D  A great big candy bag of a movie that kids love but which may make adults feel a little queasy at times. The Dragon Pearl (2011)  An enchanting fantasy jointly made by China and Australia and starring Sam Neill and a gorgeous CGI Chinese dragon. The Grinch (2000)  Jim Carrey's portrayal of Dr Seuss' Christmas hating grinch is still one of the most delightful on film, and a great favorite at Christmas for all ages. The Sorcerer's Apprentice 2010  A mish mash of a movie that nevertheless delivers a lot of entertainment and some genuinely funny moments. The Spy Next Door  A little science, a lot of fiction, and lashings of Jackie Chan charm.
