These cook books are full of good recipes and valuable information.
Chef Prudhomme´s Louisiana Kitchen [offsite link] What can I say about this cook book? I was watching Paul Prudhomme on a cooking channel and he offered his cookbook (autographed, special seasonings and an apron. I have never used the apron but in my opinion this is the book to have if you want to learn authentic Louisiana Cajun and Creole cooking. This is a must have. Florence Lin´s Cooking with Fire Pots [offsite link] I love this little cook book. It´s so reminiscent of fondue pot cooking. The broth is critical to this cooking and you are told how to make a good stock. It also gives information about various traditional fire pots. This is not an essential cook book but it could make you a favorite hostess. Keep Your Spices Ready For Use We all love the look of a full spice rack hanging on the wall or in a stand but remember that spices should be kept in a cool place that is dry and away from heat and sun. The Food of Asia: Authentic Recipes from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thaila [offsite link] I enjoying reading cook books with photos and this cook book is gorgeous. The glorious photos will have your mouth watering even as you read the recipes. It really is the complete Asian food cook book complete with soups to nuts information for the seasoned cook but it does not neglect the beginning cook. There are pictures of unfamiliar foods, lists of ingredients and enough information about this cuisine to make you an expert. This is a must have.
