Softball
My take on the various videos and DVDs that have crossed my path over the years.

A League of Their Own star
Want to watch a good softball movie? Try "A League of Their Own." You will be inspired and learn how women joined the baseball league.

Power & Distance II with Mark Eldridge DVD star
4 Stars. "Power & Distance II with Mark Eldridge" is a good resource for teaching details of the batting stance and how to relax within the batter's box. It also goes into the specifics of a linear swing which isn't what I teach, but for those coaches who do there's good info on that as well.

Quickstart Pitching Featuring Butch Latey DVD star
2 stars. Coach Latey mixes beginning and intermediate information in this recording of one of his pitching lessons. Read on to see my impression of the info provided.

“Spin it to Win it” DVD with Butch Latey star
3 Stars. There is a lot of good information in this 2-disk DVD set, but finding it later can be problematic. A good reference for seeing proper mechanics of the various pitches, but the lack of fidelity in the Menu and the unique terminology that Coach Latey uses detracts from the info provided.
