Letter to Our Readers
Brandii Lacey Dear Mused Readers,

As winter begins knocking at our doors, itīs the perfect time to curl up in a warm blanket with a hot cup of tea, while enjoying our current issue of Mused. I truly believe that you will have a hard time putting this issue of Mused down; something that Iīve found to be common with every other issue of Mused!

From the amazing spirit of a young woman at heart in Biker Lady to the anticipation of a wedding proposal in Fortune Cookie Dreams, our non-fiction selections continue to provide laughter and inspiration.

In our fiction selection, The Drive delicately intertwines love, betrayal, and a horrific accident. Discovering Home brings us the stories of different families sharing one yard, who discover much more than home.

The artwork submissions for Mused continue to amaze me. From the beautiful capture of boats gently resting in the Newfoundland Bay in Gloomy Day to the tranquil park setting in Path to Nowhere, youīll find your mind and soul drifting into a peaceful, relaxed state.

The poem A Childīs Christmas Stocking Story takes us on the magical journey of waiting for Santa to fill a stocking. University Circle reveals the magic of an ordinary day at a University and one studentīs high hopes to succeed despite not quite fitting in.

Finally, we hear from Nancy Dietrich. You may remember her works Shadow of a Mountain and Dog Day Afternoon in the last issues of Mused. Itīs a pleasure to see the īstory behind the storyī of her writing. She offers strength, humor, and wisdom in her work and her life.

On behalf of the Mused editorial team, I want to thank you, our readers, for your continued support of Mused. Your enthusiasm for Mused is what keeps the talented submissions rolling in, and what keeps the editorial team thrilled to be a part of such an amazing process in creating each issue.

To our contributors, thank for your time, creativity, and ability to reach people through your words and artwork. Itīs a pleasure to get to know you through your work, and we canīt wait to see what you have in store for us next--whether itīs your first submission or your hundredth!

Happy Holidays!
