Apple
Tara Lynne Brown
You meet me at the library
The smell of fresh mint
From your breath greets me
Before you do
I offer you a ripe apple
"How cliche this is, like Eve
and her Adam," I say
You smile
"You better count your ribs
when you leave here,"
I whisper as your teeth tear the skin.
