The Old Woman's Prayer

Linda C. Anger

Come, then, and
take me to golden
lands where we
might dance and
sing, wild, as when we were young,
free from want or pain;

come, then, and
let us settle down
in beds of
flowers, next
to laughing streams, to sleep,
dreamless and forever.
