Our Hero

Bill Abbott

When last we left our hero,
He was firing his superio ray.
He would defeat the mole men
In a battle immemorial

He was firing his superio ray.
His beacon would light our skies
In a battle immemorial
As he stood for truth and justice.

His beacon would light our skies.
He would rescue our city
As he stood for truth and justice.
He fought the forces of madness.

He would rescue our city.
If ever we needed him, he was there.
He fought the forces of madness,
Facing down the villains of our time.

If ever we needed him, he was there,
Breaking through panels of the story,
Facing down the villains of our time.
We bought every single issue.

Breaking through panels of the story,
When last we left our hero,
We bought every single issue.
He would defeat the mole men.
