Trees at Play

Wynne Huddleston

Young, red headed oaks
and baby, blonde sweet gums
peek in between
the old, naked knees
of tall dark pines on a morning
so quiet you can hear them laugh,
so cold you can see
their breath.

Reader Feedback:
Wonderful view of glorious trees. The personalities given to each by the poet are amazing! A beautiful piece of art.
