X2 Wolverine's Revenge cashes in on the huge X2 X-man movie which was released simultaneously. In this game, you get to play the sharp-clawed Wolverine.

I've always been a fan of Wolverine, so I was looking forward to this. Larry Hama helped design the game, and a lot of attention was paid to the accuracy of the plot.

That part of the game is definitely great. You really get a sense of what Wolverine went through from the very beginning and through various adventures. You have access to a variety of his skills, from his sharp claws to his sense of heat, great hearing and smell.

There are some famous voices here - Patrick Stewart and Mark Hamill star. There are also famous enemies to battle, from Wendigo to Sabretooth and more.

Now, for the down side. I think they rushed this to get it out along with the movie. The graphics really aren't that hot. The combat system isn't very well done and can be INCREDIBLY frustrating. In fact there are many frustrating parts of the game, where you keep dying and restarting for very silly reasons.

Still, the various special features that you hunt down help make the game replayable, and once you've played it for many, many hours you start to take its quirks in stride. Recommended for any X-Men fan!
