Male Pattern Baldness

As you are probably aware, many men are plagued with the common problem of male-pattern baldness. Recent studies have shown that hair loss is caused by a naturally occurring hormone called dihydrotestosterone, (DHT.) It is believed that the blocking or reducing the DHT in the scalp can lessen the rate or stop hair loss all together.

SalonClick, the makers of MIN hair color designed for men, have recently released a full line of male-friendly styling products. This new line is designed to fight hair loss resulting from (DHT). Each of the new products contains Azelic Acid, Zinc Sulfate and Saw Palmetto. These natural extracts have been shown to reduce or block the formation of DHT in the scalp. Since these ingredients are included in MIN shampoo, conditioner, hair gel and the grooming crème, the user receives round-the-clock protection.

I was interested in trying out the products to see if they were as pleasant to use, as they were useful in fighting hair loss. These are some of my findings:

WASH – the shampoo
This produced a luxurious lather and had a light fresh scent. It rinsed easily, leaving the hair manageable, shiny and clean feeling.

RINSE – the conditioner
This has the same light fresh scent with a creamy consistency and rinsed easily from the hair for a clean shine. I was pleased that it left body in even fine hair.

Either of the next two products can be used according to preference.

GROOMING CRÈME – the hair crème
The crème gave added control, leaving a natural look without the feel of product on the hair.

FIRM GEL – the hair gel
Used for molding and definition, this gel gives maximum control.- And all without stickiness, flaking or dulling of the shine.

Each of the products contain an impressive list of natural ingredients to protect and strengthen hair such as Pro-vitamin B-5 and Aloe Leaf Extract, as well as a UV Filter to prevent the fading of hair color.
As a result of my ‘road test’ I found each item in the line to be user-friendly and of excellent quality. I’ll be recommending them to all the men on my clientele list.
