Famous Mothers in the Bible - #4
Famous Mothers of the Bible Quiz - Question 4 of 6
Abraham is called the father of the Jewish nation. Who would be the mother?
Sarah
Miriam
Hagar
Good job! Did you get it on the first try? Yes, Sarah was the wife of Abraham. She was another famous mother who was still childless into her old age. God proved that He is the author of miracles when He allowed her to give birth to Isaac. Isaac became the father of twin boys named Esau and Jacob. Jacob became the father of many children. His sons became the founders of the twelve tribes of Israel. This is an exciting story found in the book of Genesis.
The Bible does not say whether Miriam was a mother. It does say that she was Moses' older sister. She helped to save Moses when he was a baby. She was a prophetess and she played a part in leading the Jewish nation out of Egypt. Try again.
You are close but she would not have been the 'mother' of the Jewish nation. Hagar was Abraham's wife's maidservant. She gave birth to Abraham's son, Ishmael, who eventually became the father of the Arab nation.
How are you doing? Two questions to go! On to
question five.
