You may be wearing a fun half updo hairstyle and decide to make it formal for a special event. We don't always have time to completely redo a style or to go to the hairdresser's to get our hair re-styled. Changing the half-updo into an updo is siimple with these few steps.

Take the "Half up and Half down" style and make it a formal updo for the prom or for a wedding or just for fun.

Create this style from the Half-updo by:

1. The top portion is already up, so all you have to do is un-pin the top section, keeping it in your hand and clip it out of the way with a large clip such as an aligator clip.


2. Your next move is to brush through the bottom portion to remove hairspray. Brush that portion into a french twist. To do this, brush it to one side and twist and fold it over. Secure the twist by inserting bobby pins down through the fold you have created. If there are shorter hairs that will not go into the twist, allow them to curl softly on your neck.


3. Release the top curls and allow them to fall over the top of the twist and re-pin them ito place.
