Orange Honey-Baked Ham

Orange Honey Baked Ham

  • 1 boneless or semi-boneless ham, 8 to 10 pounds
  • whole cloves
  • 1 can frozen orange juice concentrate (6-oz.) , thawed
  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 T. corn starch
  • 2 oranges, peeled and sectioned

Preparation -
Score ham and stud with cloves. Bake at 350º for ten to fifteen minutes per pound. While ham is baking, combine orange juice concentrate, water, honey, dry mustard, salt, cinnamon stick and nutmeg in a saucepan. Remove 1/4 cup of mixture and blend with cornstarch. ; return to saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue boiling for one minute. Mixture will thicken. Remove from heat. Brush ham with small amount of this sauce two or three times during last 30 minutes of baking time. Add orange slices to remaining sauce; reheat, and serve with ham.
