Holiday Traditions Scrapbook
Many families share traditions for the holidays. Creating a special album about your holiday traditions will be fun and that album will become a cherished holiday tradition of its own. My scrapbooks are full of Easter layouts, valentine layouts, mothers day layouts, etc. However, I think it would be really nice to just have one album that highlights the ways we like to celebrate each of the holidays and why each of these holidays are important to our family.

A Holiday traditions scrapbook can be a record of each holiday. The album can have a section for each holiday that you celebrate throughout the year. Chronological order by how the holiday falls in the year is a great way to set it up.

To keep the album consistent, follow the same format for each holiday section. The first page for each section as a title page that introduces that holiday and the colors for that section. Include a holiday preparation checklist. The checklist can also serve as a tool each holiday to help us remember what we need to be doing!

Each section can also have several pages of photos and journaling. Use pictures from a variety of years celebrating this holiday to date. Journaling on these pages can detail the traditions we honor on this holiday and the reasons that this holiday is important.

This holiday traditions album will be something that your family will cherish and enjoy sharing with others. However, this scrapbook can also serve as a tool for your family to look back at those preparation lists to get ready for an upcoming holiday. You might consider leaving an open pocket to store a favorite recipe, or crafts that you might want to try in the future as well.

I am excited to complete my holiday traditions scrapbook. I have already begun searching out the photos for each holiday. Since I am using photos across the years, this part is probably the most time consuming part of creating the whole album! Once I get the photos gathered I will pull out my supplies for each holiday and start creating my pages. This really should be a simple scrapbook to complete because it isn't an ongoing project!
