This year I am going to be focusing on the Articles of Faith with my own family. I wanted to do this project a year ago, but life seemed to get in the way. This year, I have planned it all out so that we will be covering each of the Articles of Faith in detail in our family home evenings.

Here are my plans for January, and I hope that they will be of help to you as you plan your own family home evening lessons. I will be writing these lessons as I go, so be sure to check back each week in order to get the newest addition to the fhe lessons on the Articles of Faith.

Week One: I Believe in the Articles of Faith

This is a great introductory lesson on the Articles of Faith and what they are. This lesson helps family members to understand where the Articles of Faith came from and how we got them. There is a fun activity involved where you will actually write and illustrate an article in Mr. Wentworth's newspaper on the Articles of Faith. This serves as a great reinforcement tool and will make a great remembrance for your family on the Articles of Faith.

Week Two: The First Article of Faith

This lesson focuses on the Godhead. The activity consists of singing different primary songs and discussing each member of the Godhead after each song. This is a great opportunity to really discuss this subject as a family and answer any questions that family members may have concerning our belief in the Godhead.

I also wrote this lesson last year. It was previously titled "I Believe in the Godhead", but I changed the title for ease of use in this series of lessons. A link to this lesson is provided at the end of this article for your convenience.

Week Three: We Believe in God, The Eternal Father

This lesson will go into depth about our Heavenly Father and his role in the Godhead and our lives. This lesson will be published prior to date that you will need it.

Week Four: We Believe in God's Son, Jesus Christ

This lesson will focus on our belief in Jesus Christ as God's son. We will cover the role of Jesus Christ in the Godhead and in our lives. This lesson will be published prior to the date that you will need it according to this schedule.
