In recent years the beauty industry seems to have set its mind to developing preparations to control and care for frizzy, curly hair. I enjoy trying out new product lines and was intrigued when asked to test Curly Hair Solutions (C. H. S.) This line of products is formulated to care for curly, frizzy hair, dry, chemically relaxed, or permed hair.

Daily Shampoo and Conditioner:
The first item I tried was C.H.S. Silk Shampoo. It sudsed well and left my hair feeling clean and healthy. I liked the gentle, moisturizing formula. I feel that it is ideal for daily use.
Moving on, I towel blotted my hair and applied C. H. S. Conditioner. This is more than a simple crème rinse in that it contains proteins that penetrate and repair the hair. It detangled my hair instantly and made it easy to comb.

Styling:
For styling, I used two products, C. H. S. Gel, for body, and ReMane Straight.
ReMane Straight is a light gel that helped to smooth my hair while offering protection against heat and stretching. This product sealed out the humidity to help keep my hair frizz free.
The C. H. S. Gel was easy to work with; not sticky, and my hair was easy to blow dry. Even with both products on my hair, it did not feel heavy and the style held all day.

Deep Conditioning:
Next, I chose C. H. S. Treatment Shampoo for its extra conditioning properties. Since my hair has a natural tendency to frizz, is color treated and blown dry almost everyday, I decided to see how much improvement this line could make. The shampoo had a creamy consistency and left my hair soft and silky.
I followed it with C. H. S. Pure Silk Protein Treatment. This is a deep conditioner that should be left on for ten minutes and then rinsed. It left my hair bouncy, very shiny, and in nice condition.

Extras:
The line also includes C. H. S. Silk Leave-In Conditioner, for use when extra frizz protection is desired as in high humidity. For scrunching hair into curls, C. H. S. Curl Keeper promises beautiful frizz-free curls.

The light consistency and the pleasant clean scent of each product made this road test an enjoyable experience. Over all, Curly Hair Solutions lived up to its name and covered all the bases when dealing with my curly hair.
