CMN Charity Motorcycle Ride
The very first Childrens Miracle Network Inaugural Motorcycle Ride for charity will be held on the first Saturday in May, which is May 3rd, 2008 in Winfield, Alabama. As background, the Childrens Miracle Network is an alliance of childrens hospitals that are dedicated to serving children throughout the United States and Canada. The affiliations of 170 Childrens Miracle Network hospitals treat over 17 million children annually.
A website has been set up to provide National and Regional coverage for all CMN charity motorcycle rides across the country for Childrens Miracle Network. The website provides details on rides in your community and ways to help benefit the Childrens Miracle Network. All monies made from the rides goes to the Childrens Miracle Network hospital in your community, so the money stays in your community were you can see it at work.
The goal of the Childrens Miracle Network motorcycle ride project is to have one all day ride in all 50 states and Canada on the same day each year, starting with this year. The hope is that this will be the largest one day motorcycle charity ride event in history. Want to be a part of that history? Sign up to donate or to ride in the first annual Childrens Miracle Network ride in Winfield, Alabama on the first Saturday in May.
One of the quotes on the Childrens Miracle Network Inaugural Ride webpage states, "When it's time to meet your maker, what are you going to talk about, your house, your car, how much money you made, or the motorcycle rides you went on to help save the lives of 1000's of children. Come ride with us and have something to talk about." It couldn't be stated better. What a way to make a difference, riding for a cause and our future.
To get registration details or to find out how you can make a difference in your community, click on the Charity Rides link provided below. For the first annual ride ever, the Childrens Miracle Network film crew will be filming the ride. Don't miss your chance to be part of something really big.
Until next week, ride safe.
