How To Package Fragranced Gift Items
We often look at fragranced items as gifts and unless you're buying one that already has a gift box, you'll be looking for a way to package it. So in this article, whether it's for holiday, birthday or just because, I'll talk about packaging ideas that you'll be able to use when it's time to give a fragranced gift.
Let's take a look at containers for fragranced gifts:
Boxes - A great place to find boxes for gift containers is to look in craft stores. Not only can you find decorated boxes but you can find what I call boxes in the raw.
Typically they are brown or white in color and come in various sizes. The good thing about them is that you can paint them. You can use acrylic paint and create decorative surfaces by using sea sponges. With the natural holes in the sea sponge, they allow you to create interesting patterns with the paint on the boxes.
You can also stencil patterns on the boxes or create color block patterns. Boxes work exceptionally well when packaging bath salts or even a scent wardrobe. By the way a scent wardrobe is a combination of several products in the same scent. Typically it might be a bath wash, a body oil, body spray mist and body butter.
Bottles offer lots of decorating possibilities for fragranced gifts. Pearls antique buttons and ribbons can be glued to bottles to embellish them. Bottle types and styles can include canning jars and perfume decanters. Crystal salt and pepper shakers make great containers for body powders.
Silk ribbons, tulle and lace make wonderful accent pieces when decorating bottles for fragranced gifts.
That's it for this week!
The next time you're looking for a gift container for your fragranced items, consider the suggestions above. Not only will your scented gifts smell great but they'll stand out in the crowd with the packaging you've chosen or created.
