Here's a fun project. Make some Altered Art!

This project is a dream box.

What's a dream box? I make one for myself just about every year, and it's meant to be a box that holds objects that personify what you want in life: your hopes, and dreams.

If you want a new house, put in the box, a little monopoly game house. If you want money, put in there a real $20 bill. Things like that. You can even write poems and put them inside. Or drawings if you like to draw.

It's basically you working with the law of attraction. Even if you don't believe in that sort of thing, it's a fun project to use your rubber stamps with, and one that makes a lovely gift either for yourself or to give as a gift.

Here's one that I made:

This box was plain, unfinished. I painted it brown, then went over it and painted it gold, but very lightly. Then I added crackle medium by Plaid Crafts, and went over it with some burgundy paint.

Then I went over and stamped it with white pigment ink, using the stamp, "Flower Fields" by Stampenduous.

This is a very easy project, and you can easily do this at home.  Just get yourself a plain unfinished box, and paint it it up. Then, add some crackle medium, and then another layer of paint.

Then, stamp away! Remember to use pigment ink, so it will not wash away or rub off  like dye based ink might.

Crackle medium is made by Plaid Crafts and is so cool!

This is easy peasy, truly.
You might want to even collage the whole box with stamps, of words like, "Dream", "Hope" "Love" and "Peace", if you have them in stamps.
