New Hampshire's famous poet, Robert Frost, owned two farms one in Derry, NH and one in the Franconia Notch (NH) area.
Robert Frost Homestead - Derry, NH
This typical New England farm house is located on Route 28 about 1.5 miles from the traffic circle and directly across from Berry Road in Derry.
Robert Frost moved here in 1900 until 1911 and wrote more than 40 poems here including "Mending Wall", "Pastures" and "Running Brook". He also taught English at nearby Pinkerton Academy. This farmhouse is now a national historic landmark and is open from Memorial Day through Columbus Day.
The Frost Place - Franconia Notch, NH
Robert Frost made this house his home from 1915 to 1920. It is now a poetry center and hosts the Festival of Poetry held every August. You can visit the Frost Place by taking exit 38 off the Franconia Notch Parkway, go south for about 1.5 miles on Route 116 and follow the signs to The Frost Place.
