Dilliciously Dill Dip Mix - - Charity Supporting
Dilliciously Dill Dip Mix is quite tasty - but it's the background to this dip mix that makes your heart warm. The non-profit which creates this mix (and others) helps to get people out of poverty and on their feet!
The dill mix is a combination of primarily onion, dill, and garlic. Just what you'd want in a delicious mix! You add it into an 8oz container of sour cream and stir.
This is the perfect way to get more vegetables into your diet! Chop up some celery, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, or other healthy veggies and keep them in zip-locks in your fridge. Keep the dill mix in a Tupperware. Any time you feel the craving for a snack, simply grab some veggies, grab the dill mix, and enjoy!
The veggies will have great nutrition for you and very little sugar. The sour cream has about 2g of carbs per ounce - but it provides iron and potassium, so it's a healthy trade-off! Plus, if eating the dip helps to encourage you to eat more veggies, I am all for it. The more veggies you get into your diet, the better!
You can even add yogurt into the dip for additional flavor and to help your digestive health!
The non-profit charity you are supporting with every purchase is the Women's Bean Project in Colorado. They have been around since 1989 and their focus is helping women struggling in poverty to learn new skills and get on their feet. They create both gourmet food items as well as jewelry and other items. I definitely recommend looking through their offerings and seeing how you can support them - both with purchases for yourself as well as any gifts you might need to buy.
