Managing Twitter with Browser App Twitter Clients

Managing Twitter with Browser App Twitter Clients
If you want to get a better handle on your Twitter account (or accounts if you have more than one), a Google Chrome app can give your social media efforts an assist. Twitter is a 24/7 operation where you want to be tweeting on a consistent basis. There are many tools out there to help businesses do this.

We’ll set aside paid or free desktop programs and online services and focus on browser apps. Here are browser apps for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox that are available and can lend an assist in your social networking. Some of these apps are extensions of the popular versions we use on our desktop or tablet (iPad, iPhone, Android etc.).

Yoono

Yoono is a browser add-on that can be used for all social networks and messaging services. It is listed as the #1 downloaded social networking add-on for Firefox. – App available as Google Chrome and Firefox browser add-on.

HootSuite

Robust browser version favored over Tweetdeck. – App available as Google Chrome browser add-on only.

HootSuite Hootlet

Like HootSuite? Try out the HootSuite Hootlet to share web pages of interest to your social networks (included Facebook and LinkedIn). – App available as Google Chrome and Firefox browser add-on.

TweetDeck

If TweetDeck is your favorite, launch Chrome TweetDeck in the browser sidebar from the Chrome browser bar using TweetDeck Launcher, a free extension. – App available as Google Chrome browser add-on only.

Seesmic

Seesmic is a close favorite to HootSuite. The biggest plus that may make it a favorite for many over HootSuite and TweetDeck is the price. It is free to use, no need to upgrade for a number of services. It also refreshes your accounts in the dashboard automatically. – App available as Google Chrome browser add-on only.

Echofon for Twitter

Echofon for Twitter is the minimalist’s Twitter management tool. Follow and Tweet to a number of accounts easily, selecting a view that you are comfortable with, in browser, on desktop etc. – App available as Firefox browser add-on only (shows in Google Chrome web store search but reviews indicate it is not a working app in Google Chrome).

Whichever browser you work in or desktop method you prefer to tweet from, using a social media Twitter client should help users follow tweets and hopefully schedule tweets in advance. Paying for additional services may be necessary if you want analytics or need to add more accounts to manage.
