Elton John isn’t one for subtlety, especially when it comes to his decades-long feud with Madonna. The singer recently told Australian TV that Madonna is “such a nightmare. Her career is over, I can tell you that. Her tour is a disaster and it couldn’t happen to a bigger c—.” But the singer didn’t stop there, adding, “And she looks like a f—ing fairground stripper.” The Material Girl seemed to be take the high ground when she dedicated a song to Elton at a concert this week in France. “I know he’s a big fan of mine,” she joked. “And you know what? I forgive him. Gotta start somewhere.” Then she launched into none other than her song ‘Masterpiece,’ which beat out Elton’s ‘Hello Hello’ for Best Original Song at The Golden Globes this year.

The fireworks have fizzled for Katy Perry and John Mayer. The pop star, 27, and crooner, 34, who were linked this summer, are no longer dating, a source confirms. Tom Cruise gets to protect his fortune.

Katie Holmes walked away from her high-profile divorce to the megastar with less than she could. Cruise is providing his ex-wife with only a “modest” sum to take care of their daughter Suri. Sources tell the site that Cruise must pay Holmes $400,000 a year in child support for the next 12 years, or until Suri turns 18. The total payout works out to $4.8 million, according to TMZ, which is less than what Cruise makes in a single film. Holmes’ ex will reportedly also foot the bill for any medical, dental, insurance, education, college and extracurricular costs.

Tony Scott did not explain why he decided to take his own life in the suicide note he left for loved ones … but did offer a final emotional farewell. Sources familiar with the investigation tell TMZ … the note was “short and sweet.” Tony said in the note he loved his wife and his 2 kids — Max and Frank. Tony Scott's wife has not told investigators about anything that might have triggered a suicide, although as we first reported she did tell investigators Scott did NOT have brain cancer or any other significant medical problem.


Oscar winning actress Shirley Jones, husband comedian Marty Ingels, best selling author and celebrity biographer Wendy Leigh, and Beverly Hills publicist Edward Lozzi were seen celebrating over dinner at BOA on Sunset in West Hollywood last night for Jones’s big autobiography book deal with Simon & Schuster. The hardcover will be in bookstores 2013 and according to Jones will contain quite a few “jolts”.

Liberty Ross is refusing to cower at home and hide from the Hollywood scandal over her director husband Rupert Sanders’ affair with “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart. On Wednesday night, Ross stepped out — without her wedding ring — to the LA premiere of “Lawless.” She went with brother Atticus Ross, a member of rock band Nine Inch Nails. Observers said she looked “gorgeous” and “relaxed,” at the DeLeon Tequila event also attended by the movie’s stars, Shia LeBeouf and Guy Pearce.
