Inspirational Quotations About Prayer
Prayer is an intricate part of our spiritual life, our daily life and growth in our relationship with our Lord. In a previous article, I wrote about various Forms of Prayer - covering several types of prayer like traditional, conversation, contemplative, as well as admiring God's creation all around us.
What motivates us to pray? Inspires us to pray more? Urges us to pray more deeply and grow more fully in our relationship with our Lord?
One such inspiration can come from those who have walked the walk before us. Below you will find some quotes about prayer that I hope will indeed inspire, motivate and lead you to a fuller and deeper relationship with our Lord through your daily prayers.

- St. Basil

- St. Augustine
Our Father, Who hast exhorted us to pray, Who also bringest about what Thou hast asked for us; since we live better when we pray to Thee and are better: hear me as I tremble in this darkness and reach out Thy hand to me. Hold Thy light before me and recall me from my strayings, that with Thee as my guide I may return to myself and to Thee. Amen.
- St. Augustine
All that should be sought for in the exercise of prayer is conformity of our will with the divine will, in which consists the highest perfection.
