Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie Review
Based on the popular book by Jeff Kinney, Diary of a Wimpy Kid is brought to the big screen and proves to be very entertaining. It’s one of those kid’s movies that parents, if they put their mind to it, can actually enjoy. Kids, of course, are the targeted demographic and those watching in the theatre seemed to enjoy it quite a bit! Hey, but don’t take an adult’s word for it – let’s ask a kid! Here’s a review from a fourteen year old:
"Diary of a Wimpy Kid" movie was an entertaining movie. The movie itself is based on the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" book. Both book and movie tell the same story.
Set in middle school, Greg Heffley, the main character tries to survive and overcome its challenges and be recognized as popular and make a name for himself. The movie use the doodles made by Greg in the original book and animates them. It gives the feel of the book and I felt that was a nice touch.
The movie is something mainly for kids but parents can enjoy it as well.
I would give it two thumbs up!

This reviewer has read and enjoyed the books in the wimpy kid series. He was happy not to have been disappointed in the movie’s adaptation!
One of the benefits of seeing the movie is that kids may want to experience more of Greg Heffley and his friends' adventures. The middle schooler is readily available in other books. Introducing kids to a familiar character in a book series is one way for parents to encourage their kids to read!
Other books in the diary of a wimpy kid series:
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days
